If you currently use Twitter, you can push News, Announcements, E-Notes, Calendar Events, Cafeteria Menu’s, etc. directly from your website to Social Media all by simply checking the Tweet box next to your Save or Update button. To get this turned on within your website, follow these directions. 1. If you don’t have a Twitter account, but want to use this feature, you need to create a Twitter account. Once you have a Twitter account, log into it. 2. Open a new Tab in the browser of your choice. Log into the school website with the Full Administrator account. ONLY that account has access to Site Settings. 3. Click on Site Settings. 4. Click on Contact & Social Media Information 5. Click Connect Twitter button next to the Twitter input. 6. Approve the connection. (If you didn’t log into Twitter on step 1, you will have to do that here.) 7. You can now push Tweets directly from your website to Twitter. If you have multiple campus sites, you will need to repeat this process for each campus that you want to allow to do this. ONLY Website Full Administrators and Website Campus Admins have this ability. If you wish to give it to an individual, go to User Rights and edit that person’s rights to allow them to access Twitter. If you want to push events to Facebook: 1. Log into your existing Twitter account or Create a Twitter Account for your school. 2. Click on your image on top right side. (Profile & Settings) 3. Click on Settings. 4. Click on Apps. 5. Find Facebook Connect and click the Connect to Facebook account. (Login with account of person who manages the schools Facebook page.) 6. Click OKAY to Continue as User 7. Select who you’d like to share posts to. 8. Uncheck the boxes to Post Retweets to Facebook and Post to My Facebook Profile. 9. Click ALLOW posting to one of your pages & Click Okay. 10. Select your school page from the drop-down menu and check the box to Post to my Facebook Page. If you do not have access to Site Settings, you will need to talk to your main Website Administrator to get these features turned on.Enjoy,
